Blumix cleaners are very effective at cleaning dirt, grease, and grime, but it’s important to note they are not classified as EPA-registered disinfectants. Our formulas do include natural ingredients (like citrus essential oils) that have some mild antibacterial properties so they will remove a good amount of common household germs when you clean.

However, they don’t contain harsh synthetic disinfectants like bleach or alcohol, and we don’t make specific “kills 99.9% of bacteria/viruses” claims. For everyday cleaning of countertops, sinks, etc., Blumix will leave surfaces fresh and clean without any toxic residue.

We’re all about transparency – every product page on our website lists the full ingredients used in that item. Blumix products are made with non-toxic ingredients, so you won’t find harsh chemicals like parabens or phthalates.

Of course, as with all cleaning supplies, it’s best to keep the concentrated tablets and sheets out of reach of children and pets – the tablets are brightly colored but should not be ingested or handled by little ones. Once diluted and in use, our cleaners and hand soaps are gentle and non-hazardous. We always recommend supervising children during cleaning and storing all products safely. If you ever have any concerns, don’t hesitate to ask or consult your vet/pediatrician, but we’ve formulated everything to be family-friendly.

In contrast, Blumix provides concentrated cleaning and soap tablets that you just add water to at home. This means you reuse your bottles instead of throwing out plastic, and we aren’t shipping heavy water around (which cuts down on carbon emissions).

Our packaging is 100% plastic-free, and our formulas are non-toxic, so they won’t pollute waterways.
